Lok Adalat cum Pre-Christmas celebration was held at the District Sub Jail Zunheboto December 17 under the aegis of District Legal Services Authority Zunheboto (DLSAZ).
Speaking on the occasion as the speaker, Teniyimia Baptist Church Zunheboto pastor Vechulu Dolo highlighted about the Christmas, saying it was a festival observed to commemorate the birth of the Saviour Jesus Christ and a season of joy, peace and love.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Advocate Annie Sumi while Nitovi Jail Chaplin pronounced the invocation.
Also, during the introduction hour, civil judge & District Legal Services Authority Zunheboto deputy secretary O.P Phom extended Christmas greetings to the inmates and the gathering. A special song was presented by the inmates of Sub Jail Zunheboto.
Assistant jailor Teisi Thou also spoke briefly and Vechulu Dolo pastor Teniyimia Baptist Church Zunheboto pronounced the benediction.
The programme was attended by judicial staff Zunheboto, district sub jail personnel, DPRO staff Zunheboto, parents and relatives of inmates and well wishers. Altogether 21 inmates attended the programme, which concluded with ‘bada khana’.
