The fourth Phom Catholic Youth Convention (PCYC) cum Youth Fest was held January 3-6, on the theme ‘Rekindle the gift of God within you’ (2Tim:1:6), at St. John’s Church Sakshi. Sakshi village council chairman Yongkai graced the convention as guest of honour. Other resource persons included Brother Charles Ongtok, Phom from Oriens Theological College, Shillong and Teisovi Gerard Meyase, President of Nagaland Catholic Youth Movement (NCYM). Around 300 youth participants attended the Convention. Other features of the convention were competitions among the youth for solo, duet, trio, choir, Bible skit, Bible recitation, Choreography and marathon race.
The overall champion was bagged by the Yongnyah Youth. Awards were also given out for various categories. The new offices bearers were also elected for the coming years.
