MLA and CLP leader Tokheho Yepthomi Monday urged the members East Dimapur Sumi Students Union (EDSSU) to struggle hard to achieve their set goals. CLP leader was speaking as chief guest at the 21st general annual meet of EDSSU at school building, Model colony, Dimapur Monday.
Tokheho said that to compete with others in this fast changing world, one should be honest, dedicated, hard working and should maintain a strict time table.
He pointed out the efforts would not yield fruit if one did not have an aim or a goal to achieve.
The chief guest said without hard work, one could never be able to achieve his or her goals in life. He said it was imperative to struggle so as to achieve goals no matter what hurdles one had to face.
Tokheho also opined that in the age of “global village”, television and information technology like mobile phones provide knowledge and information. He, however, warned that those technologies should not be misused as they also could have negative impact on the youth.
Earlier, SBC Purana Bazaar youth leader Mughai Achumi led the invocation prayer. EDSSU vice president Kanato Awomi introduced EDSSU members to the chief guest.
Vivika T. Kiba enthralled the gathering with a song while EDSSU advisor Shikuto Chishi delivered the welcome address. EDSSU president Kenneth Chishi gave the presidential address.
