Expressing its appreciation to minister PWD road and bridges, Azo Nienu for taking personal interest in supervising the ongoing work, Ao Senso Telongjem Dimapur (ASTD) at its executive meeting held on February 8 had resolved to appeal to all the land owners from hotel Tragopan point towards DC’s office road to extend full co-operation in order to enable the department to complete road development and drainage construction on time.
ASTD general secretary in a press release issued by its general secretary, C. Onen Walling stated that presumably the maintenance of roads and drainage within Dimapur municipality should fall under Urban Development Department, however PWD (R&B) Dimapur Division has sacrificed enough to take the initiative and successfully widened the roads by using the latest technology equipments.
