Sümi prayer and fasting day observed

A mass prayer and fasting day of the Sümi community was observed with huge participation across the Zunheboto town and beyond, Wednesday.
Hundreds of people both young and old gathered in groups at different places, prayer hall and churches etc. sought God’s divine protection and shelter against natural calamities as foretold earlier this month in the form of an earthquake.
Various colonies, churches irrespective of denomination actively took part in Wednesday’s mass prayer and fasting called by the Sümi Hoho. The declaration of February 12 as “Sumi Prayer and Fasting Day” was arrived February 7 general meeting.
Further, the Sumi Hoho has extended its gratitude to all the individuals, colonies, villages and churches for their active participation.
