Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt join Jennifer Lawrence and Anne Hathaway as presenters at the Academy Awards

Their presence at any awards show is sure to boost ratings. So it’s somewhat of a coup for the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences to have snagged Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt as presenters at this Sunday’s ceremony. The superstar couple join a glittering roster of Hollywood’s best and brightest to take to the stage a the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles for the 86th Academy Awards. Oscar producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron released the names on Monday of the A-Listers who will be ‘turning out in force’ as presenters on March 2. ‘We are very excited that the Hollywood community will be turning out in force for Sunday’s Oscar ceremony,’ they said in the announcement.
‘We sought to include a tremendous diversity of stars to represent not only this year’s nominees, but the legacy of the motion picture business as well,’ they added. Other presenters include last year’s acting winners Daniel Day-Lewis, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Lawrence (who is nominated Sunday for Best Supporting Actress for her role in American Hustle) and Christoph Waltz.  They will be joined by previous Oscar-winners including Kevin Spacey, Charlize Theron, Sidney Poitier, Goldie Hawn, Whoopi Goldberg, Jamie Foxx, Sally Field, Penélope Cruz and Robert De Niro.
In addition, former Academy Award-nominees John Travolta, Gabourey Sidibe, Anna Kendrick, Bill Murray, Samuel L. Jackson, Kate Hudson, Naomi Watts, Will Smith, Glenn Close, Viola Davis and Harrison Ford are also in the line-up. Brad’s film 12 Years A Slave, which he co-produced and co-stars in, is up for nine Oscars including Best Picture, Best Director (Steve McQueen), Best Actor ( Chiwetel Ejiofor), Best Supporting Actor (Michael Fassbender) and Best Supporting Actress (Lupita Nyong’o).
