Akehda Sangtamlaru Thsingmujang (AST) Kiphire unit destroyed 208 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and 109 Spasmo Proxyvon (SP) capsules Saturday in the presence of district magistrate, police and district administration Kiphire and public.
The destroyed IMFL were seized on March 7 by the 46 Assam Rifle Kiphire at Zero Point Junction Kiphire and handed over to the Kiphire police the same day and later kept in the District Magistrate office. Other drugs were caught by the AST Kiphire unit on different occasions from Kiphire.
Condemning the illegal imported of drugs and IMFL in the town, AST Kiphire unit warned that anyone found involved in such activity would be deal seriously. AST also expressed gratitude to the district administration, police and district magistrate for the cooperation extended in destructing the IMFL.
