Golden Crown College celebrates ‘annual cultural day’

In order to facilitate and enhance the cultural identity of the Nagas, Golden Crown College, Dimapur, Sunday organized its “annual cultural day” at the college premises.
Started in the year 2002, director of the college, Reverend Dr. Nzan Odyuo, said that at present the college houses 50 students for B.Th with music and that the teachers are all from Singapore. The College is also being recognized by the prestigious Royal School of London.
Chairman of the college, Wochamo Odyuo, while exhorting the invitees as well as the students said that Nagas are blessed with “wonderful” inherent talents though they were once upon a time “head hunters”. He said with the advancement of human civilizations and with God’s blessings Nagas are now second to none.
The cultural day which was compered by Achumlo Mozhui, invocation was said by a missionary from Germany, Daniel, acknowledgement was said by worship convener, Renjamo Ezung while general secretary, Kyong Nchumcheo Okho, Yanbemo exhorted the gathering. The cultural items were presented by Lotha, Rengma, Angami and Sumi communities.
