United Naga Tribes Association (UNTA) which is a “constituted association” of all the Naga tribes inhabiting in and around the border areas of Nagaland Monday cautioned against “unscrupulous acts” by any unorganized group of people for illegally grabbing lands of those registered and recognized groups or members within adjoining areas of Dimapur. In a press release, UNTA chairman Chubatangit Jamir and secretary Hukavi Yepthomi said UNTA would not tolerate and entertain any “self-centered groups or individuals” likely to hamper the common interest of Nagas for peaceful co-existence within and beyond the traditional jurisdiction of the Nagas. UNTA appealed the district administration and the government to maintain neutrality in its policing matters and requested all to co-ordinate in jointly initiating the common interest of the Nagas.
