Parliamentary secretary for agriculture & chairman, NSAMB, Nagaland Dr. Benjongliba Aier kicked off his Lok Sabha poll campaign for NPF candidate Neiphiu Rio in Changkikong area under 30th Alongtaki A/C on March 15 with a host of party officials and public leaders from the Constituency.
Addressing the mammoth rallies at Molungkimong Village and Yimjenkimong Village, Dr. Aier highlighted the “tremendous achievements made by DAN government in terms of infrastructural and other developmental activities” during the last 11 years under the leadership of Neiphiu Rio.
He informed the people in these two villages that the NPF party has decided to send Neiphiu Rio-“the best candidate from the North East to represent the people of Nagaland” in the Parliament in the forth coming election as DAN consensus candidate.
“Rio is the only ray of hope for the Nagas to tackle the longstanding Naga political problem since he can directly facilitate in the peace process between various factions and the Indian Govermnent to bring about an honorable, acceptable and peaceful solution to the 60 years old Naga political issues.” said Dr. Benjongliba.
“Rio who is the Convener of the North East Regional Parties Forum is a heavyweight in Indian politics that can be honoured by all and the most acceptable leader in the North East at present”, added Dr. Benjongliba.
He appealed to all the voters in the constituency to vote for Rio, irrespective of party affiliation so that he can win the election by a record margin in order to help the people by bringing more development to the North East in general and to Nagaland in particular and make a better Nagaland for the future young of the Nagas. President of the Japukong Hoho, Nungsang Longkumer and, President of the 30th Alongtaki A/C Monglo Ao also addressed the rallies.
