The thirty-day worship event Gloria Patri, which was initially scheduled to conclude on May 30 would has been extended and would culminate on June 1.
Organizers said they came to the decision taking into account that it was befitting that such event of this significance should conclude on a Sunday which Christians observe as a day of worship.
Even as the cleanliness drive which was part of Gloria Patri morning worship also concludes on the same day, the organizers have informed of their decision to continue carrying on the work even in the days to come.
Further details for the same would be posted on the facebook event page ‘Gloria Patri’ and also would inform through the local dailies, they said.
Quoting the adage, ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’, the Gloria Patri team expressed hope for a cleaner, healthier Dimapur very soon and stressed on the importance of team work by stating that only with the participation of everyone could such a feat be achieved for which it requested for cooperation and assistance from the people of Dimapur in carrying out this magnanimous task.
Meanwhile, the organizers have requested everyone not to miss the last two services of Gloria Patri which is being held at Life’s Spring Corner (near Naga Cemetery), Dimapur at 5 p.m.
