Cheryl Cole has moved her French boyfriend Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini into her luxury home to turn chez Chezza into a love nest, writes Katie Hind in the Sunday People.
The X Factor judge has been ¬dating the restaurant owner since April and told friends she is ¬delighted to have found love again.
Jean-Bernard, 33, is said to be besotted with Cheryl, who is 31 next week, and the pair are hoping their romance lasts the distance.
A source close to the couple said: “Jean-Bernard was based in France, he has work over there. But he’s now living happily with Cheryl.
“It’s all going so well. Cheryl is totally in love and the happiest she has been in a long time. They just click and Jean makes her laugh.
“Cheryl has to be in England for the X Factor so it seemed the perfect solution for her to move him in.
“She jokes that she rattles around in her house on her own. She ¬definitely deserves some luck in her love life. It hasn’t exactly been easy for her over the past few years.
“It’s no secret she wants to settle down and have a family. Maybe this will be her chance.” Cheryl moved to her Hertfordshire home after splitting from Chelsea ace Ashley Cole in 2010. He stayed in their marital home in Surrey.
She and Jean-Bernard have been inseparable since meeting through mutual friends and were seen ¬together for the first time at the Cannes film festival last month.
Jean-Bernard, who runs the Cosy Box restaurant in the French resort, led a playboy life in his younger years – summering on the Riviera and wintering in the -Caribbean after studying in the US.
In the wake of the split from Ashley, 33, Cheryl dated American dancer Trey Holloway but they broke up because he did not want to live in the UK and Cheryl would not move over there.
She also had a brief romance with Derek Hough, who starred in her video for hit single Parachute.
With a new man in her life she began working at the X Factor ¬auditions in Manchester and London last week – returning to the show with Simon Cowell after a three-year break.
A friend said: “Everything is finally coming together, she couldn’t be happier.”
Cheryl has been quiet of late. After touring with Girls Aloud to mark their 10-year anniversary and doing a string of solo dates, she said she needed a break.
