CM inspects construction sites

Nagaland chief minister T.R. Zeliang Saturday inspected the construction of new chief minister’s bungalow, residential office, state banquet hall and also the construction site of minister’s quarters below state assembly, Kohima.
During the brief interaction with the department officials and contractor at the site, T.R. Zeliang suggested that the construction be carried out in a phased-manner and complete the same within the stipulated time.
According to a press release issued by CMO media cell, the work order was issued more than a decade back and the major portion of the bill was already withdrawn. The chief minister insisted that it was high time the works were completed.
Chief minister also urged the Housing department to expedite the work within the given time. The department officials informed him that the work order amount for construction of CM’s bungalow, state banquet hall and residential was Rs 49 crore out of which the contractor had already withdrawn about Rs 38 crore.
The work order was issued in the year 2001 and stipulated time of completion was August 2015, the officials informed the chief minister.
