Lotha Middle Range Students’ Union (LMRSU) has condemned the July 21 incident at Chanpang village in which the KSU president was manhandled by police personnel in the presence of SDPO and Additional SP Wokha. In a condemnation, LMRSU president alleged that volunteers including finance, sports, general secretary were also assaulted. Describing the incident as ‘senseless and shameful,’ union said it was an insult to the Kyong in general and students in particular. Further, the union also condemned the imposition of the section144 CrPC only for the students by the police under the instruction of the government.
