Legel awareness campaign

Kohima Law College (KLC), Nagaland state legal services authority (NSLSA) and Nagaland voluntary consumers’ organisation (NVCO) jointly organized a legal awareness campaign August 7 at Kros College, Kohima.
The topics of the campaign included consumer rights, environment, national food security act 2013, human rights, lokayuktas, legal services authority, medical negligence sanitation and ACAUT’s objective.
During the interactive session, the students urged the district administration and KMC to immediately ban the opening of septic tanks, building latrine on the constructed drainage, pigsty and rearing pigs in Kohima.
The speakers of the campaign were Kezhokhoto Savi, Moanaro Jamir, Ronsuo R. Kithan, A. Royim Yim, Kekhriesenuo, Alivi K. Chophy, Vilasielie Keseyie & K. Mankho Konyak. The team leader and convener ACAUT Nagaland (legal cell) Kezhokhoto Savi led the interaction session, which was attended by arts and commerce degree students. At the programme, the organizers also gave consumer helpline No.1800-345-3701 for any complaint.
