ANCSU reaffirms its position on PMS; summons

All Nagaland College Students Union (ANCSU) has reaffirmed its position on Post Metric Scholarship (PMS) stating that the union has been rendering utmost effort for early release of the same by urging and pressuring the state government and the concerned department.
ANCSU in a press release issued by its general secretary Katho P Awomi and education secretary Benjougakum Lonchar claimed that it has never compromised its stand or demand to the department or individuals regarding PMS that is being pursued. Dismayed with the comments of some individuals and groups doubting the position and dignity of the office, ANCSU said that it is dismayed for such disregards despite efforts being put up by it for the welfare of the student’s community. ANCSU has also appealed all to refrain from giving unnecessary and defaming statements or comments with proper knowledge/information of the issue to the press media, social networking site.
The union has also demanded the presence of Keduolhoukho Dominic Chadi of St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama in its office within five days of the publication of the notice for explanation with evidence in regard to his write up published in this daily on August 13. ANCSU while terming Keduolhoukho’s write up as “immature, baseless and demeaning” stated that such statement does not deserve even a “slight attention”. However, since the statement “directly reflects the issue and activities taken up by ANCSU”, the union has summoned Keduolhoukho to present himself at the earliest so that he could clarify the allegation and accusation he has poised.
