HPC first meet Oct 13

First sitting of the High-Powered Committee (HPC) constituted to look into the issue of illegal and multiple taxations would be held on October 13. In to a press release, ACAUT Nagaland media cell said the decision was taken on account of “inevitable delay” in setting up of office, related logistics and manpower. The formation of HPC was announced by the chief secretary on August 5 last. As decided by HPC members, the 3 month period given for the completion of the terms of reference given by the government would start from the first sitting. State government has already been intimated through its nominee member, the addl. secretary of law and justice department, said ACAUT.
