No knowledge of NBAPF: RALH

Ralan Area Lotha Hoho (RALH) Sunday said that it had no knowledge on the formation of a group under the name and style of Nagaland Border Areas Protection Force (NBAPF). Speaking to Nagaland Post, RALH chairman Hayithung while not ruling out the possibility of the formation of such a group asserted that that NBAPF was “not in Ralan area.” He added that RALH was also trying to ascertain the existence of the group.
NBAPF was formed recently with the aim of protecting land owned by Nagas in the inter-state border areas. While accusing the state government of “complacent attitude” in protecting the ancestral land of the Nagas, NBAPF had said that it would by “any means, even at the cost of our lives” protect the land of the Nagas.
NBAPF warned “illegal encroachers” especially Illegal Bangladeshi Immigrants (IBIs) and Adivasis to immediately leave” Naga owned land or “face consequences”. Meanwhile, when asked on the condition of the displaced Lotha Nagas in Ralan area, Hayithung said the Adivasis have been “forcefully” settled in Ralan area assisted by Assam government.
