After a meeting held at the initiatives of DC Dimapur district Wezope Kenye, the differences between the Nagaland Foot Hill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) and Roads & Bridges Minister Kuzholuzo (Azo) Neinu was amicably settled at a meeting held in the residence of the DC Dimapur here Friday.
Disclosing this, NFHRCC convener Supu Jamir Friday said that both sides-NFHRCC and Roads & Bridges Minister- arrived at an “understanding” on all the issues pertaining to foothill road construction including the court cases filed by committee recommended contractors and the defamation case filed by Azo.
Supu said all these issues were settled “once and for all” in the principle of “forgive and forget” which was facilitated by Deputy Commissioner Dimapur Wezope Kenye.  Supu said NFHRCC has appreciated the wisdom exercised by Azo in understanding the “immense need” of the general public.
During the meeting, that lasted for around one and half hour, the Committee had also “resolved” that it would sit with the Roads & Bridges minister “shortly” to work out the modalities so as to take forward the construction of the foothill road.
Meanwhile, Nagaland Foot Hill Road Coordination Committee acknowledged the initiative taken by DC Dimapur, Wezope Kenye for facilitating the meeting.
