NSS Patkai conduct blood donation camp

NSS-Unit of Patkai Christian College (Autonomous), under the guidance of programme officer, NSS, Bendangnungsang, organized a blood donation camp on September 25 at the College Health Clinic Centre on the theme “Donate blood, Save lives”.
Resource person and principal of Patkai Christian College, H Epao, has exhorted the NSS volunteers by quoting from the Bible “It is more blessed to give than to receive” and encouraged the volunteers to come forward and donate blood.  Medical Office and in-charge of Blood Bank of Civil Hospital, Dimapur, Dr. Temsu also exhorted the NSS volunteers by giving a brief foreword on the significance of blood donation and its provisions on saving lives by saying that the pleasure of being is life saver. He said that by donating blood, one was not only saving the life of people but also build relationship between donors and recipients.  Dr. Temsu further said that in terms of nobility (blood donation), Patkai NSS-Unit are well ahead and welcomed the excellent work done for the people in need.
During the camp, 60 volunteers donated blood and received certificates and badges from the medical team of civil hospital.
