Health camp held in Chen Moho

Medical team from CMO’s Office, Mon, along with PHC Chen staff has conducted a free medical camp at Chen Moho on November 24 on scrub typhus.
According to doctors, Scrub Typhus is a seasonal disease which infects people of Mon every year at this time of the year. The team imparted knowledge on health education, awareness of diseases and some prevention.
Doctors have emphasised on cleanliness and to seek timely help from health unit.
Out of 116 patients treated, 5 patients were found with scrub typhus and others with other diseases. In addition to medicines from CMO office, Mon, minister of Rural Development and REPA, CL John, also contributed some medicines to the patients.
The medical team included Dr. S Mukherjee (epidemiology), Dr. Temsuyanger (DYBO), Dr. Ngampa Sangme (MO), Dr. Shoakwang (MO), L Mangyang (MI), Manpong (SW), Imolemba (vaccinator) and PHC Chen staff.
