A one-day training on book keeping, importance and role of SHG, vegetable farming and livestock management was conducted on December 5 by the Department of Land Resources, Longleng, at Common Facility Centre in Pia valley, Bura Namsang.
Resource persons Dr. Zutewe Lekro imparted training on livestock management, while Bongkam Phom covered the topic on packages and practice of vegetable farming. Apart from the theory session, practical field demonstration was carried out in the valley undergoing various farm activities. The training was conducted with the objective to open wider scope and avenues towards income generating activities to the people by imbibing work culture and also to uplift their socio-economy to prepare the beneficiaries and provide interested farmers to undergo various farming activities in different project villages with practical field demonstration.
Representatives from different SHGs, user groups and watershed committees from Bura Namsang, Shetap and Ngetchongching village attended the training programme.
