The joy of giving: Coffee for a cause

An initiative by entrepreneurs, artist and scholars “Coffee for a cause”—an educational charity event has been organized on December 17, 4:30 p.m. onwards at Naithu Resort, Dimapur.
The charity has been organized to help raise funds for sponsoring the education of 17 children from Bright Morningstar Children Home, Kohima and to donate books to Life Foundation School, Chumukedima to help initiate a mini school library.
“The best gift we can give is education” Alobo Naga a renowned musician said while addressing the media at Furtados music school Dimapur here Thursday.
One of the contributors, Muletolu Vero said donation of books to Life Foundation School was to promote the culture of reading.
First “we” wanted to identify the school that needed help and this was one of them, Life Foundation is a charity school and by 2015 the school is set to do away with admission fees, informed Vero.
The event promises to deliver performances by “established artists” such as Nise Meruno, Alobo Naga, Moanungsang, Obed Kath (Divine Connection), Renbeni Odyuo, DJ Ina, Tetso Sisters, Alo Wanth, UDX, Kevi Pucho (We The Giants), Colored Keys, Diethozo & Vizho Thakro, Girls Excess, Yanfo Kikon and Bright Morningstar Children Home. 
The children at Life Foundation School are between the ages of 4 to 18, interested persons have been asked to donate any study materials (preferably non-academic) such as dictionaries, encyclopedia, general knowledge books, atlasstory books/ novels for children etc.
