VG Mon bids farewell to deputy commandant

Village Guard (VG) department Mon Thursday bade farewell to deputy commandant, Chingshom Konyak, who retired on November 30.
Farewell programme was held at council Hall Mon town with guard of honour by VGs of Lampong Sheanghah Post.
In his farewell speech, Chingshom Konyak thanked all ranks and file under VG department for extending their co-operation and understanding during his 18 years tenure at Mon.
He said that the service of VGs will sooner or later be the assets for all the eleven districts of Nagaland.
Asstt. Comdt. HQ, S. Aphak spoke on behalf of the department and praised the retiring deputy commandant for his hard working and judgement.
ADC Mon, who represent DC Mon, encouraged the department to be honest and sincere in discharging their duties. The programme was chaired by Asstt. Comdt. VG
Tobu, E. Wanmei Konyak which began with an invocation by L. John Konyak, Subedar major, L. John Konyak followed by a special number from Chi VG Post.
