Government Middle School building inaugurated in Mungya

A new building of the newly upgraded Government Middle School (GMS) at Mungya village in Wokha district was inaugurated on March 3 by SDO (C), Wokha, Mhomo Tungoe as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Tungoe has appreciated the Village Education Committee (VEC) of Mungya and the concerned department for the timely completion of the building. Opining that each and every individual are equally responsible for the development of any village, Tungoe requested Mungya villagers not to obstruct but to welcome all developmental works in the village.
The SDO (C) Wokha also requested the teachers to build up the students beginning from the primary stage so that their quality would be manifested even till up to the late stages of the students’ lives.
Earlier, the chief guest unveiled the monolith of the GMS building after it was dedicated by Rev. Tsopemo Ngullie. The GMS Mungya building was constructed under the SSA flagship programme (2012-13).
Others who spoke at the inauguration programme included Mungya Village Council Head GB and chairman in-charge Yantsemo Ezung, SSA (DMA) Wokha project assistant Ekyimo Odyuo, and a representative from the landowners Libomo Ezung.
Mungya VEC chairman, Lomongo Kikon, also presented a brief report on the construction of the building. Mungya AG Church pastor Khontsemo Ezung offered invocation, while GMS Mungya GT, Chanbemo Ezung, proposed vote of thanks. The programme was chaired by SSA (DMA) Wokha project assistant, Pichamo Jungio.
