
Retreat cum music camp was organized for parish youth at SFS parish Tening from June 22-29, under the theme “Youth and the challenges of being an apostle”. New team of office bearers of the parish CYA was also conducted.
During the retreat, MSFS Franscialian youth director Rev. Fr. John Barman spoke on the importance of the sacrament of the Holy Communion. He also dwelt on the importance of the rosary and its wonders in the life of a person.
He encouraged the youth to be apostles of Christ by taking up the challenges in life. Sr. Esther spoke on the need of faithfulness to one’s faith and Sr. Sharon spoke on sacraments and Sr. Gracit spoke on basic hygiene and focused on awareness of HIV/AIDS.
The retreat concluded with a resolution for organizing sales day and CYA rosary service by every village CYA of the parish.
The music camp was inaugurated by APRO Gaizam Moses, who spoke on how technology connects youth and also the need of honoring one’s parents. The music class was directed by Wangsam Patrick, Ringam Thomas and Sizanpi Anthony.
Outgoing president ZCYAN handed the files over to the new office bearers at the closing service, with a canonical blessing on the new office bearers by Rev. Fr. Panu Paul.
