Mao Council (MC) during its general body meeting on July 11 at the council Hq, Tadubi has endorsed with confidence the committed initiatives of the Tenyimi People’s Organization (TPO) towards settlement of the land dispute on Koziirii and Dziiko issue.
In a press release, MC publicity wing said it had been the desire of the council to settle the issue through customary laws and traditional practices. The council expressed strong view that the TPO had the “moral responsibility, authority and legitimacy” to take up the matter and bring to conclusion with justice.
With faith and confidence reposed on the sincerity and seriousness of TPO for brokering a settlement, MC said: “it is imminent that TPO initiative among the kindred Naga brethren will neutralized any interference from any agency and civil courts so that the dispute will be resolved in a manner that is honorable and restorative and upholds the dignity of all concerned.”
