Kohima, Longleng,Mon DPDB, Mangkolemba SDPB meeting

Monthly meeting of Kohima District Planning and Development Board was held at DPDB Conference Hall, Kohima on July 15 under the chairmanship of SDO (Sardar) Kethosituo Sekhose where ADC (Planning) Ketoho Luho was also present.
Reviewing the last DPDB meeting minutes, the team leaders of Ward Adoption Committee Southern Angami –I and Northern Angami-II gave brief reports on their activities carried out in the month of June 2015. 
Reminding the Ward Adoption Committees to submit their reports before 15th August, the team leaders of majority Adoption Committees requested for extension of another month where the board decided to extend it and also fixed the last date on September 10 for submission of their report in hard copy to the core committee. SDO (Sardar) asked the Ward Adoption Committees to write their observation on the matter which are beyond the Committee’s capacity and submit it to the chairman for further necessary action. 
ADC (Planning) also reminded the Ward Adoption Committees that the Award which has two categories i.e. Urban and Rural areas, will be judged according to their performance on how innovative, creative and also the attendance of the committee members. He also asked the committees to submit their expenditure report and activities document for record. 
In the meeting, APO President, Dr. Vilhousa Saleyi conveyed the desires of APO on value of discipline, law and order in the state Capital. He said that the APO had organised consultative meeting with some sectors and organisations for maintaining law and order in the state Capital and sought the forum for co-operation in maintaining peaceful co-existence of our forefather for the present and future generations. 
He said that the APO observation on developmental activities in Kohima are Urban oriented Programmes and appealed the forum particularly the major Department to think over for Rural base populace while implementing new programmes in future. On recruitment of Grade III and Grade IV posts, the APO President requested the Chairman and members of DPDB to recruit indigenous people of the district as per the standing directive of the Government of Nagaland and also to implement various packages provided by the Government. Regarding Grand in Aid to school, the APO felt that adequate justification be given to the indigenous people in the Rural Base Area and further informed that APO felt that the state Capital be given more fund allocation to maintain various activities require or to modify/renovate where Rural base populace interest is not compromise.  
The SDO (Sardar) said that the points conveyed by the APO President were noted and said that it will be taken up as and when it arises. He also emphasized on the road and requested the concerned department to take care of the road especially in this monsoon season. The day’s agenda also included introduction on the Data Bank by State Resource Centre for Women. Presentation of departmental activities was entrusted to KMC and Child Protection Officer for the next DPDB meeting.
LONGLENG: Monthly Meeting of Longleng District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting for the month of July was held under the Chairmanship of New Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman DPDB Longleng, Y. Denngan Avennoho Phom on July 14 at DC Conference Hall, Longleng.
SDO (C) HQ. Longleng, Japheth Woch welcomed the new deputy commissioner Y. Denngan Avennoho Phom including new members ADC Tarnlu, ADC Longleng HQ. EAC Yongnyah, EAC Shakshi. 
The new DC, Denngan Avennoho Phom, in his speech, appealed to the members to be sincere and dedicated to the people and come forward to work together for the development of the district. He also said that DC alone cannot do everything because cooperation and support from the members is important. He also appealed to the member to share their feelings and views and come up with innovative ideas by actively participating in discussions in the DPDB Meeting by highlighting their grievances and problem.
Chief Medical Officer, Medical Superintendent Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Longleng presented their departmental activities.
MON:  Mon District Planning & Development Board meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner, Mon W. Honje Konyak on July 15 at DC’s conference hall, Mon.
The meeting commenced with welcome note by the deputy commissioner followed by introduction of new DPDB members and review of last meeting minutes. While briefing on Swachh Bharat, the DC urged upon the members to come up with innovative ideas and also seek cooperation and support of the members and the Government employees for clean and green Mon. 
Principal ITI, Er. Alongse Sangtam briefed on the activities of the Officers Club and the forth coming inter-departmental tournament 2015. He also invited the officers and DPDB member to attain the observance of World Youth Skills Day to be held at ITI Office, Mon. In this regard the DC also appealed to all the officers’ club members to avail the opportunity provided for the welfare of the officers posted in the district. He informed that the idea behind the creation of the club is to provide a common platform for the officers to get together for healthy discussions and interaction besides other sporting facilities.
Dr. Supongmenla Walling DPO&DIO, Mon gave a power presentation on Universal Immunization Program (UIP) and Reproductive & Child Health (RCH) in Mon district. While appealing to the DPDB members to give awareness on UIP&RCH program to the people in their respective place of posting, she highlighted that in order to minimize child mortality rate hospital birth is encouraged by paying an incentive of Rs. 700 for hospital delivery, Rs. 250 for TA and Rs. 100 for hospital stay to the parents. 
In this regard the board discussed to organize seminar and programs in the blocks to create wide awareness to the mass and to urge the churches and the KNSK, the apex women organization, to play a vital role to disseminate the importance of hospital delivery and Immunization Program to all. 
The board also forwarded Grand in Aid for Baptist High School, Monyakshu Town to the department concerned. The next meeting would be held on August 17. 
MANGKOLEMBA: Monthly meeting of the Sub Divisional Planning Board, Mangkolemba was held on July 14 at the customary court hall. Chairing the meeting SDPB Chairman, Dr. Benjongliba welcomed the newly posted ADC, Imtiwapang Aier and other administrative officers under the sub division and also congratulated Dr. Longri for being inducted as chairman for bio resources and development authority, Nagaland in the DAN Government.
Considering the much felt need of the people from the three ranges under Mangkolemba Sub Division, the Adhoc Town Council put up a proposal to the Board for setting up of State Co-operative bank at Mangkolemba town. After much deliberation the Board approved to forward the matter to the higher authority when all necessary criteria and formats required are furnished and completed.
The board members accepted to pursue the agenda proposed to recognize Adhoc town council to full-fledged town council which was approved in 2014 meeting as all required formats are being furnished. 
After much deliberating on the deplorable road condition from Mangkolemba – Mongchen and Longnak road which is the life line of Changikong, Japukong and Tsurangkong ranges, ADC, Imtiwapang asked E.EPWD(R&B) to submit a detail and specific reports at the earliest, to take necessary action accordingly.
Chairman and Vice chairman of the Board, during the meeting, issued a strict notification for attendance of the officers of all the departments to attend their respective offices and SDPDB meeting.
