After taking over eastern command, army commander, eastern command lieutenant general Praveen Bakshi made his maiden visit to Dimapur, Rangapahar military station on August 5.
The army commander was received by GOC, Spear Corps Lt. General Bipin Rawat and briefed about the defense preparedness and infrastructure development along the northern borders.
The army general lauded the efforts of the Spear Corps in maintaining peace and tranquility and emphasized on the people friendly conduct during operations by all ranks.
Army commander will be visiting other areas like Likabali, Dinjan, Imphal.
