Shania Twain’s staples center concert hit by power outage

August 22, 2015 | by admin

It was a case of no power, no problem when Shania Twain played the Staples Center in L.A. overnight.
The Canadian pop-country veteran was performing “That Don’t Impress Me Much” when an explosion Downtown triggered a power outage.
Unshaken, she waited and chatted with fans in the audience before re-starting the song when a secondary power source kicked in “within five minutes,” according to the venue’s organizers.
Fan filmed footage shows Twain keeping her cool until the power returned.
Twain, who wore a Rolling Stones shirt during her set, had a fine time despite the blackout. “We had so much fun in LA that we blew the power out! We came back up within minutes and kept rocking,” she tweeted.
According to reports, an explosion was reported in a building at the corner of Flower Street and West Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles just after 10 p.m., interrupting the “Man! I Feel Like A Woman!” singer’s set.
At least four people were injured though no fatalities were reported in the underground blast, which fire fighters suspect originated from a building generator.
Marketed as her farewell trek, Twain’s Rock This Country tour will play 60 North American cities through October.
