Ao Students’ union Dimapur (ASUD) has strongly condemned the “barbaric and ruthless assault” on Tiasunep Aier, son of Sutsungkaba of Longjan village, by unidentified person (s) on August 23 in Dimapur, who later succumbed to injuries at a Guwahati hospital on August 24.
ASUD president L. Bendang Jamir and general secretary appealed to the law enforcing agencies to probe the case with “utmost diligence” and bring the perpetrators to justice. Further, ASUD urged all the right thinking citizens to come forward and condemn such dastardly act, which was alien to the Naga society.
Meanwhile, the union has conveyed condolences to the members of the bereaved family and prayed Almighty God grant them solace in this hour of grief.
