To create awareness on financial management in the village, Rural development block Chumukedima trained the VDBs and village functionaries of Chumukedima block on accounting and bookkeeping on August 24.
Resource person, director Siddhartha Professional Academy Dimapur Rajesh Choudhury stressed on the method, types and rules of accounts. He also made a distinction between accounting and bookkeeping.
Block Development Officer Chumukedima, K. Yamao Konyak emphasized on proper maintenance of cash books and accounts pertinent to the VDBs and village functionaries, towards financial management of the village. He, further, added that without accurate records, it would be difficult to manage the cash flow for development of the village.
The proceeding of the training was chaired by BAPO Imtizulu while assistant engineer S. P. Pillai proposed the vote of thanks.
