MLA and chairman NKVIB, T Torechu has expressed shock at the demise of Thsithrongkyu Sangtam, GB of Kiphire village, who passed away on September 2 after a brief illness. Torechu, who also represent 60 Kiphire-Pungro assembly constituency, in a condolence message said late Thsithrongkyu was an active social worker and leader of Kiphire district who held various posts including assistant commandant (retd) Village Guard, Kiphire district, president Kiphire Area GB Association and vice president Kiphire District GB & DB Joint Forum. NKVIB chairman said in Thsithrongkyu’s death, Kiphire district had lost a dedicated and sincere leader and the vacuum created would be difficult to fill in. Torechu prayed the almighty to grant solace to the bereaved family and eternal rest of the departed soul.
