Nagaland NRHM employees have demanded that the state government release their salary pending from June till September. An employee told this Correspondent that there was a clear directive from Centre that sanctioned funds had to be released within 15 days. However, despite the funds being sent directly to the state treasury instead of the department, to keep check on misutilization, they lamented that the government did not release the amount on time or kept in the Civil Deposit.
“It has become absolutely difficult even to survive and to attend duties to reach our respective place of postings”, a member rued. Meanwhile, NRHM employees have sought for an explanation from the government through media, as to why their salaries were not released when Centre had already released the funds?
