District Rural Development Agencies (DRDA) Wokha has resolved to go on a pen down strike December 1-3 to protest against the state government for not releasing salaries since June 2015. In a press release, DRDA Wokha convener Wonimo Lotha, member secretary Akok Maken and member Nyenlo Kent said this was decided at an emergency meeting of officers and staffs of DRDA Wokha. They also resolved to intensify agitation if the government failed to give a positive response within November 30.
