Public Forum Pungro Sub – Divisio( PFPSD) has strongly condemned the ‘beastly act’ of 15 Assam Rifles, wherein four GPRN/ NSCN men were killed at Leangkonger village on November 15.
In a condemnation note, PFPSD, President S. Kiusumew Yimchungru, stated that, such kind of killing has brought a major setback to the people, when the Nagas were yearning for ‘peace and reconciliation’ and where the GPRN/ NSCN is under a ceasefire agreement with the government of India.
The forum appealed Security Forces and Naga Political Groups to adhere to the ceasefire ground rules in order to create a congenial peaceful atmosphere in the society.
The PFPSD further conveyed a condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
NNC (N-A): Naga National Council-Non-Accordist (NNC-NA) vehemently condemning the killing of four GPRN/NSCN members by Assam Rifles stated that such kind of “beastly act” of Assam Rifles was not a good sign as GPRN/NSCN was having ceasefire agreement with the government of India.
In a press release, NNC (N-A) president Kiumukam Yimchungru urged upon the Assam Rifles and every Naga political group to maintain and honour the ceasefire agreement in order to restore ‘peace and tranquillity’ in the region.
NNC (N-A) conveyed condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
