Locals of Shamatore village, Tuensang were treated of various ailments and medicines distributed freely by 15 Assam Rfiles at the medical camp conducted on November 23.
During the camp, 354 villagers including 92 male, 117 female and 145 children were treated by medical team of AR.
The camp was inaugurated by Deputy Inspector General Assam Rifles (North), Brig Rajeev Nanda.
Local populace expressed gratefulness to Assam Rifles for conducting medical camp at thier doorsteps.
Medical camp at Zhadima
Medical camp at Zadima village was also conducted by 9 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Hq IGAR (N)/Hq 5 Sector AR under “Op Sadbhavana” on November 18.
The camp was aimed at providing treatment to the needy local populace of Zadima and its adjoining areas. A team of four doctors including two doctors from civil hospital Kohima and 15 medical staff treated the villagers during the camp, where free medicines were also distributed to the locals. A total of 100 villagers benefitted from the medical camp where basic health education was also imparted.
