Parliamentary Secretary, Geology & Mining, Dr. Imtiwapang Aier represented Nagaland at the global conference on disaster resilience in northeastern region on November 23, at Hotel Pinewood, Shillong.
He was accompanied by OSD (G&M) Koratemjen, additional director (G&M) Wangtang, Er. Semy (G&M), geologist (G&M) Avi, deputy mission director (RMSA) Dr. Kevi Rio, DIG Home Guards and his team along with two district commandants, additional director (H/FW) and deputy director (H/FW) Dr. Nyan Kikon.
DIG Home Guards and his team displayed their disaster fighting equipment at the conference exhibition hall.
Deputy chief minister of Meghalaya, Rowell Lyngdoh was the chief guest at the inaugural function. Dr. Shailendra Chaudhari Director (Sc & Tech) addressed on the theme of the conference and key note address was presented by Secretary NEC, Ram Muivah IAS.
