Inter ward cake race was organized by the district administration in collaboration with police administration of Tuensang to mark the advent Christmas on December 23 at parade ground, Tuensang.
Thirteen wards competed in tug of war and musical chair for men and women respectively. They also participated in the rally race.
In the tug of war, 3rd NAP ward emerged as the winner and post office ward as runners up.
Anti of high school ward A won the musical chairs competition, followed by Mongshai of Bazaar C Ward and H Yensen of Bazaar B ward.
The main event of the inter ward Christmas rally race was competed between thirteen teams comprising of ten members each.
Rally was flagged off by deputy commissioner of Tuensang, Alem Jongshi. Officers’ ward emerged as the champion while Bazaar ward C and High school ward A bagged first and second runners up.
The programme also included the best Santa Clause competition.
The crowd was entertained by Christmas Band Display by women of High School ward A and also by a special presentation by DEF Tuensang.
Parliamentary secretary of horticulture, Kejong Chang, district administrative officers, police officers, district officers and other dignitaries attended the event.
