Department of Fisheries has inaugurated four units of fish kiosks funded under NABARD (RIDF-XX) at Chekiye and Diphupar villages (2 units each) respectively on February 13.
According to DIRP report, the department has proposed of establishing modern fish kiosks in the 11 districts under negotiated loan from NABARD. The main objective of this project was to create infrastructures so that quality table fishes provided.
Opening of kiosks will also prevent severe spoilage of fish; avoid chemical contamination and prevent mishandling and poor packaging that leads to spoilage of fishes.
