Rio bats for unity, oneness

Neiphiu Rio, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) has called for unity and oneness among the “Naga family” by extending the call of friendship and understanding to all other communities, especially the neighbours of Naga community. 
Rio who graced the Oriah festival of the Wancho Naga tribe in Kanubari, Arunachal Pradesh on February 16, has also called upon all sections to come forward and support the peace process in the aftermath of the “Framework Agreement”. 
Reiterating that the people are longing for permanent peace and political solution, Rio exuded confidence that the Government of India was sincere in its efforts to resolve the decades old Indo-Naga political issue.
Rio also urged the people to celebrate the festival under an atmosphere of brotherhood by reaching out to other communities to foster friendship, unity and understanding.
He also appreciated the participation of the Nagas and all village representatives and cultural teams for travelling till Kanubari to participate in the festival.
Other prominent leaders, who were attended the festival included- Naga Hoho general secretary, Metsekhoyi Yobo, ENSF president Sasha, representatives of ENFO , NPF and BJP leaders and representatives of civil societies and NGOs.
