State level CNTC launched

State level apex body Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) was officially launched Saturday at Town hall, Dimapur. 
CNTC comprising of Ao, Sumi and Lotha tribes with the motto “Unity, Solidarity and Fraternity” was launched as a united platform to work for the well being of the three constituent communities and the Nagas in general.
The house also unanimously approved the Constitution which was read out by convenor, constitution drafting committee, Supu Jamir. 
Ao Senden president, Imolemba Jamir, Lotha Hoho, chairman, Mhao Humtsoe and Sumi Hoho president, Toniho Yeptho in their short speeches called for maintaining unity and brotherhood amongst the three tribes by respecting one another. 
They also appealed the members to build trust and confidence among them so that misunderstanding if any could be resolved and unity was maintained among the three tribes. 
Earlier, convenor, interim council, CNTC, Hokiye Yeptho delivered the welcome address.  CNTC also elected a new team of office bearers for the tenure 2016-18 led by Hokiye Yepthomi as president, Renchio Yanthan and O. Shilu Jamir as vice presidents, Imtinochet Ao as general secretary, Nikheto Jimomi and Nyimshio Mozhui as joint secretaries, Khondao Ngully as finance secretary, K Bendang Ao as cultural secretary, Jonah Achumi as information and publicity secretary and 20 other executive members. Rev. Dr. Shiwoto Assumi offered dedicatory prayer for the new team.
The function was chaired by Capt K. Zhimomi with Imtinochet Kubzar recording the proceedings. 
It may be mentioned that CNTC was initially formed in December 2012 as Dimapur based organization with the approval of three tribal Hoho’s to address the common interest of the three tribes on the principles of unity, fraternity and solidarity. 
On December 8, 2015 the three apex bodies– Ao, Lotha and Sumi decided to upgrade the CNTC as the State level apex body of three tribes and an 15 member Interim Council headed by Hokiye Yepthomi as Convener was set up to work out all the modalities in three months time
