Kiphire Area Students’ Union (KASU) has cautioned the government that it would call for agitation if the posts of teachers which had been transferred to other district were not retained at the earliest.
A press release by KASU vice president, Isaac Tsalempi and general secretary, Lily Anar informed that few teachers of the government institutions in the district Hq were doing double jobs which make them pay less interest to their teaching job. The release also reminded all the government officers, officially posted at Kiphire district Hq to remain in station as efficient government servants.
It also pointed out that absence of officers in their respective offices made it difficult for poor people to reach Kohima and Dimapur to even get a single signature of the respective officers. It also stated that KASU in collaboration with KTSU would be initiating a surprise check on all the offices within the following days. It cautioned that if officers were absent without valid reason, the unions would submit their names and departments to higher authority for necessary action.
KASU and KTSU further informed all the shopkeepers to stop sale of expired food items and illegal items like IMFL, gutkas etc and medicines with expiry dates. It cautioned that the unions would initiate action of even cancellation of their trade license and LIC if anyone was found selling such items.
Both the unions have further requested every department officers to cooperate with the unions for development and welfare of the people in the district.
