
Nagaland emerged as the overall champion at the annual fest “One India”, held at Lovely Professional University (LPU), Jalandhar on March 26.
In a press release Naga Students’ Union Jalandhar (NSUJ) Advisor, Zeviku Khatso stated that One India is a two days mega cultural event of LPU, where all the 29 states of India display their culture and traditions in the form of folk songs, dances and display of various ethnic handicrafts and handloom.
He informed that Nagaland under the aegis of NSUJ has made it to the podium for the last 5 years by securing second position in 2012 and 2013, first position in 2014 and third position in 2015.
Khatso further stated that NSUJ has a handicraft club called the Kuknalim Handicraft Club, which was initiated by Neikemehiezo Rupreo in 2014, while the members have been working for over two months for this event, for promoting Naga’s rich culture and traditions.
