As approved by State Planning Board (SPB) at its meeting on February 29, 2016, the planning and co-ordination department has requested concerned departments to furnish the institution-wise sub-allocation of negotiated loan to planning department by April 8.
In an office memorandum, the additional chief secretary and development commissioner R.Binchilo Thong requested the departments to furnish with detailed schemes/projects indicating projects/schemes to be funded during 2016-17 for both ongoing and new projects with total estimated cost and expenditure up to March 31, 2016 and work progress (physical) for ongoing projects furnished under negotiated loan and scheduled date for completion.
The approved outlay for 2016-17 is Rs. 392447 Lakh including EAP, NEC, NLCPR and CSS (other programmes), where Rs. 319678 was for general services and others such as Agri and Allied Rs. 33193 Lakh; Rural Development Rs. 66841 Lakh; Special Area Programme Rs. 11700 Lakh; Irrigation Rs. 23200 Lakh; Energy Rs. 1491 Lakh; Industries And Minerals Rs. 2289 Lakh; Transport Rs. 11554 Lakh; Science And Technology Rs. 1418 Lakh; General Economic Services Rs. 28289 Lakhs; Social Services Rs. 138147 Lakh and general services and others Rs. 1556 Lakh.
Also, according to the approved allocation under negotiated loan during 2016-17, financed by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NBARD), Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) and Rural Electrification Corporation Limited (REC), Rs. 10,000 Lakh has been allocated for projects.
The projects include Agri link road Rs. 300 Lakh (Agriculture); construction of 21 nos of horticulture link road in various districts Rs. 150 Lakh (horticulture); integrated land development Rs. 135 lakh and soil erosion at lower Chandmari Kohima Rs. 65 Lakh (soil & water conservation); construction of kiosk in all districts Rs. 150 Lakh (Fisheries); construction of directorate building at Pheragei Rs.150 Lakh (cooperation); rubber development projects Rs. 150 Lakh (land resource development); construction of state resource center cum transit camp at Dimapur Rs. 150 Lakh (SIRD); construction of EE office building Dimapur Rs. 100 Lakh (irrigation & flood control); distribution and revenue Rs. 500 Lakh and power transmission and generation Rs. 211 Lakh (power); construction of directorate building Rs. 130 Lakh (New Renewable Energy); completion of training centre at Dimapur Rs.100 Lakh (sericulture); construction of bridge at Langa river Tuensang Rs. 1000 Lakh (roads & bridges);
