Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has informed that the Supreme Court has on March 29, 2016 admitted the Writ Petition filed by the All India Congress Committee (AICC) for disqualification of eight former Congress MLAs who “defected’ to Naga People’s Front (NPF) in November 2015. In a press release, NPCC president K.Therie stated that the petition was later tagged along with the ongoing case of three former NCP MLAs who “defected’ to BJP in 2014. AICC was represented by Senior Advocate Salman Khursheed, former Foreign Minister, and Advocate Arvind Kumar Gupta.
