
New team for the Northern Angami Youth Organization (NAYO) for the tenure 2016-18 was formally inducted on April 22, at Urra academy hall, Kohima.
Exhorting the gathering, Northern Angami Public Organization (NAPO) president Vilieo Rutsa said that NAPO being the head of all organization of Northern Angamis was immensely indebted to all the frontal for the help, support and cooperation extended to NAPO on all occasions.
He said that Northern Angami people have been immensely blessed with huge land and people and asserted that “We should continue to live with the “good deed” of forefather and older generation”. NAPO president also recalled that NAYO had in the past have achieved so many laurels, glory and honour and hoped the new team would also emulate the same for the society. He also stressed upon the need of unity and oneness amongst the Naga society and stated that the upcoming leaders should work for the welfare of the society and not for self or individual interest.
Outgoing NAYO president, Peter Rutsa thanked the NAPO and all its frontal organizations for the continue support given to NAYO during his tenure. He also called upon the people to shed their personal differences and work for the betterment to society, adding that “to be a good leader, we need followers”.
New team for NAYO 2016-18, was announced by nomination committee, convener Ketuonei Kire. Earlier, the programme was chaired by NAPO vice president, Roko Angami and vote of thanks was proposed by NAYO cultural secretary, Kevilhousa Kense.
