
Representing Nagaland, Dimapur Government College National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers attended the National Integration Camp (NIC) at Guwahati from April 24 to 30.
The camp was organised by Gauhati University NSS Cell in collaboration with regional directorate NSS, NER. In the inaugural function, the vice-chancellor of Gauhati University graced the function as the chief guest.
Nagaland National Service Scheme bagged the first prize in extempore speech on the topic of “love and peace” which was won by Vizome-e Nagi of DGC.
Besides the north east states, volunteers representing various universities of Punjab, Maharashtra, U.P and West Bengal participated in the NIC. Various cultural exchange programmes along with seminars on integration were held with resource persons from Gauhati University.
Governor of Assam and Nagaland P. B. Acharya accompanied by his wife graced the valedictory function and felicitated all the participants representing ten states from the country.
The state team was led by PO, NSS of DGC, Mezhulhoulie Angami.
