Mon district BJP Mandal presidents and state council members have questioned president BJP Nagaland state unit over the appointment of a Nyeiwang K as president BJP Mon district.
In a press note,12 BJP members of various ranks- SCM 42 A/C Wakching, Methna, SCM 43 A/C Tapi, Tapha, SCM 45 A/C Tehok, T. P. Yaeih, SCM 46 A/C Mon, Er. Cheong, SCM 48 A/C Moka, Engo, SCM 55 A/C Tobu, ADV, Thongo, president 42 A/C Wakching, Bangkhat, president 43 A/C Tapi, Wangnei, president 45 A/C Tehok, Pongyao, president 46 A/C Mon, Chinglei, president 48 A/C Moka, Ethang and president 55 A/C Tobu, Thongo- demanded to know from the state BJP president under which constitutional provision of the BJP party he was authorized to appoint a person who was not even a primary member of Mon district BJP party.
Moreover Mon district DRO had already conducted the election as per the central party directive and declared the name of elected president of Mon district T. Phongwang K by SRO on December 2, 2015. (Nagaland Post), they added. In this regard, Mon district BJP party workers requested state BJP president, Visasolie to revoke the appointment of ad-hoc president of Mon district for the larger interest of the Mon BJP in particular and state in general as well as to safeguard and uphold the BJP party constitution in true spirit.
Further, in the event of failure to meet their demand, the party workers warned they would be compelled to seek justice in the court of law along with agitation throughout Mon district.
