
Central Nagaland People Front team of officials are currently on a tour to reach out and strengthen the grass root NPF units in Mokokchung district.
The team is led by general secretary cum NPF Mokokchung in-charge, Nchumo Kikon along with secretary NPF central cum assistant in-charge NPF Mokokchung, Yangerlemba, vice president Aphien and general secretary of NPF Women Wing central Abu Deseyei. The team has reached out its first entourage today by meeting 21 Tuli and 22 Arkakong assembly constituencies officials and units representatives. Nchumo Kikon disclosed that the tour to reach out grass roots units of NPF was to interact with officials and get first hand information about the grievances and problems faced by the units and draw a “formidable road map” for the coming state general elections, which was drawing nearer about seventeen months or less. NPF central team also met 21 Tuli A/C at Tuli and 22 Arkakong AC at Chuchuyimlang village on July 12 and had a constructive interaction with the representatives of entire units. Kikon also said that the tour objective was to observe the pulses of every assembly constituencies’ and chalk out the problems and ensured doses for the problems.
The NPF general secretary also lauded the assembly constituencies’ leaders for their dedication and selfless effort to strengthen the party and said if the assembly constituencies worked hard it would affect the division and central positively.
Saying that Mokokchung district has got the highest number of state assembly seats, he urged the party workers to prepare for the coming elections and to put tireless efforts to secure all the seats in the district as it did during the 70’s when UDF secured 10 out of 10 seats.
Meanwhile, motivational message was shared by Yangerlemba and Aphien. The NPF Central teams were accompanied by officials from NPF Mokokchung divisions. The team would culminate their tour on July 16.
